Goal Setting Formula – 3 Steps You Must Do After Setting Your Goals
Let’s face it, by simply just writing down your goals and do nothing, your goals will never come true. Goal setting is more than just writing down your goals. In fact, goal setting is a long-term and continuous process that brings you to your goals. You need consistency and persistence in achieving your goals. The main reason most people fail to achieve your goals is because they underestimate about goal setting, they hesitate about what their goals can do for them.
Do not hesitate, your goals can keep you focused all the time and achieve what you really want in your life, just like a laser beam. Now, the key to successful goal setting is what you do after you set your goals. Below are the 3 steps that you must do after you set your goals:
1. Write down your goals on a piece of paper and paste it somewhere you can see often. Many people knew that they have to do this, but most of them did not do this. This is because people are shy toward their goals, they are afraid of whether they will be able to achieve their goals. If you are serious and committed in achieving your goals, you definitely have to do this. Remember, you have to keep yourself motivated to achieve what you want, and this step can keep you driven all the time.
2. Imagine about the outcomes of your goals every night before you sleep. Visualization is one of the most efficient tools that can keep you motivated. Form clear pictures and see exactly what are you going to do right after you have achieved your goals. If your goal is to become a millionaire, then picture how you are going to do with your money after you have achieved your goals. Everything happens twice, once in your mind, and once in reality. Therefore, the more you visualize it, the easier it will come into reality.
3. Develop momentum by taking at least 3 action steps that will bring you to your goals everyday. As you know, if you are not taking any action, nothing is going to happen. Action produces results. The moment you see yourself moving closer toward your goals each and everyday, you will build up the momentum that will keep you going on. Just like a train, once it moved, it is hard to stop. This is why you need to develop momentum for yourself.
By following through all the steps mentioned above, you will be able to achieve your goals in no time. If you are serious and committed in achieving your goals, I urge you to follow these 3 simple steps because they work.

Great article-
I would agree that simply writing down your goals in itself is not enough. Anyway can write down their goals-real challenge is acting upon the goals you’ve written down. From my 10 years plus experience in professional goal setting and strategic planning I have observed that the majority of my clients do not know what their goals are and they alos do not believe hey will accomplish them anyway.
Because of this I developed the ICPRA model for personal-goal-setting (Idealize, Conceptualize, Prioritize, Realize and Actualize). This process I believe helps people undrstand the “theory” behind goal-setting so they are more able to believe in themselves to actually achieve their goals they have set out to accomplish.
Much Success-
